HOULISTON, Sharon Agnes - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Stedman Community Hospice on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in her 71st year. Cherished mother of Susan Savory (Erle), Jeff Court (Debbie), Christine Court (Tammy), Jared Houliston (Melissa). A devoted grandmother to Courtney, Kelsey, Connor, Kylie, Evan, Megan, Brady, and Owen. Very dearly loved daughter of Agnes Jaques (Bruce). Dearly loved sister of Lynda Ireland (Rick), Nancy Campbell (Kenny), Judy Roberts (Steve), Carol Amirault (Ray), and brother Bruce Jaques (Mary). A special niece of Laurene Gowing. Sharon will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews.Sharon will be remembered for her love of quilting and the beautiful quilts that she made. Sharon was a faithful employee of Canadian Bluebird for over 35 years. There were so many friends and family members that helped Sharon to remain at home as were her wishes. The family wishes to express there gratitude for all the people that visited, stayed overnight and provided meals and support to Sharon. A special thank you to Dave and Lou for your unconditional friendship and support for Sharon throughout her journey. A sincere thank you to Linda Sault for her spiritual comfort to Sharon and her family during her time at home and at the hospice. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Friday, October 10th from 11-1 p.m. A Celebration of Sharon's life will follow in the chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stedman Hospice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Sharon in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
