Jean Muriel Luck
LUCK, Jean Muriel (nee Minor) - In loving memory of Jean Luck who passed away on Thursday, January 2nd, 2013, at Telfer Place, Paris, Ontario in her 100th year. Jean was the wife and partner of Reverend F. Albert Luck who predeceased her in 1990. Mother of Wilma (Ron) Crago, grandmother of Tyler (Andrea) Crago and Devin (Beth) Crago and great-grandmother of Cali, Ella and Max. She was born in Lowbanks, Ontario and graduated from the Mack School of Nursing in St. Catharines in 1935. Jean met Albert on his student pastorate in her home church, Sherbrooke Baptist, and after their marriage they served faithfully in churches of the Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec, including: Selkirk, Rainham Centre, Cheapside, Cheltenham, Belfountain, Snelgrove, Barrie, Dundas and Claremont, before retiring to Brantford. Jean exemplified the values of empathy and care for others in her role as a pastor's wife. She was well loved by all whom she encountered in the course of her long and fulfilling life. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, on Saturday, January 11th, from 12-1 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jean in the Beckett - Glaves Memorial Forest.
