NEALE, Dora Elisabet (nee Sysiuk) (nee Holmquist) - Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Friday, May 30, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Predeceased by husbands Keith Neale and Stanley Sysiuk. Loving mother of Darlene Henderson (Jim), Roger Sysiuk (Sue) and Debbie Wilson (Ross). Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Leigh-Ann Piasecki (Jamie), Carly Stevenson (Jim) and Robyn Cameron and great grandchildren Jenna, Tyler, Brittany, Dylan, Jordan, Christian, Carson and Madison. Dora was born in Sweden in 1924 and her parents were Olaf and Hanna Holmquist. She was one of eleven children and is survived by three, Sandra Jones (Harold), Arnold Holmquist (Faye) and Elmer Holmquist (Maureen) and was predeceased by twin brother Ben Holmquist (Agnes), Thora Rose (Bill), Ernest Holmquist (Joan), Peter Holmquist (Doris), Ragner Holmquist (Eleanor) and twins Ruth & Per Holmquist. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and by Donna Goodwin from California, her niece who was like a daughter and who she spent a lot of time with both in California and Parry Sound. Dora was the best Mom, great homemaker and her favourite past time was to be with family. Her sweet gentle nature will be missed by many. Friends will be received at the BECKETT - GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, on Wednesday, June 4th, from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground. Donations to the Arthritis Society would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Dora in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
