James William "Jim" Curtis
CURTIS, James "Jim" William - Passed away peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice on Sunday, August 31, 2014 in his 85th year. Left to mourn is his deeply beloved wife of 65 years, Jean; children, Paul (Christine), Glyn (Alice), and Susan; grandchildren, Dean, David, Tristan, Jim, Eric, and Anthony; and several great-grandchildren. Jim and his wife emigrated from England in 1976 and settled in Brantford. Jim was a long-time employee at Copeland's Refrigeration until his retirement in 1998. The family wishes to acknowledge their heartfelt gratitude for the exceptionally compassionate, professional care provided by the staff and volunteers of the Stedman Hospice over the past 7 weeks. Your kindness will never be forgotten. At Jim's request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Friday at 1 p.m. with Reverend Wes Coburn officiating. Donations to the St. Josephs's Lifecare Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jim in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
