BALCOMB, Ronald W. "Ron" - Passed away suddenly at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton on Saturday, October 25th, 2014 in his 63rd year. Beloved husband of Ruth for over 47 years. Loving father of Michelle, Alkiie, Tracy (Ken), Kathy (Rick), and the late Ronnie. Devoted grandfather of Lehander (Tim), Graham, Cody, and Maki, and his great-grandson Kayden. He is survived by his brothers Jack, Donald (Hannah), Ken (Kathy), Ralph (Laurie), and the late Allen (Janet). He is predeceased by his parents Phyllis Reynolds and Lloyd Balcomb. He will also be fondly remembered by his sister and brother-in-law Betty and Fred LaForme, his very special nephews Shawn and Jay, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 - 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Ron in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
