STREN, Sadie Betty - Passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 9th, 2014 in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Maurice (1995). Loving mother of David and Patti and her son-in-law, Richard Cohen. Predeceased by her parents Sam and Emma Goldberg. Sadie was a member of various volunteer organizations and she was interested in historical archives. Thank you to Dr. Eugenie Phan, JoAnne Pacione (R.N.) and assistants, and the staff of MSH (11N), MSH (Volunteer Dpt.) for their caring and support.The family wishes to extend our loving thanks to our mother’s dedicated, longtime caregiver, Orfa. We would also like to thank her doctor, Dr. Mark Sager. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford on Friday from 12-1 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery - Beth David Section on Friday at 1 p.m. Donations to Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Sadie in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
