MERRITT, Joyce "Jo" (nee Hopton) - Peacefully at home on Saturday, January 10th, 2015, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Hugh Merritt (1993). Sister of Pat (the late Doug) Mears and sister-in-law of Melba (the late Gordon) Merritt. Loving aunt of Anne (Frank) Fairchild, Clark Merritt (Kathy), Keith (Jane) Merritt, Vi (the late Steve) Harris, Katherine (the late Gary) Schlacht, Paul (Enid) Merritt and Stacey (Sue) Merritt. Great-aunt to many nieces and nephews and their families. Special thanks to Anne and Frank Fairchild, Karin Fairchild and Jonathan Mann, for fulfilling her wish to stay in her home. Friends will be received at the BECKETT - GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, on Wednesday, January 14th, from 11 - 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment Scotland Cemetery.
